Fire Proofing
The product will not propagate flames. In the CAN/ULC S102-18 tests, we scored a 0 in Flame Spread and a 10/450 for Smoke Development, giving it a Class A flame rating. The product effectively slows down the spread of fire and slows down combustion of the surface. The top video on the right shows the cork with direct flame pointed at it for 24 minutes, without a fire igniting. The cork spray once applied physically cannot reach temperatures above 30°C

Cork cannot physically freeze or reach temps above 30°C. Being spray applied and projected at a wall, it helps fill all the gaps and cracks that allow drafts. These properties together are rated with a U value of 0.068, showing that we can effectively stop the transfer of energy before it reaches your insulation. The cork also prevents thermal bridging, and acts as a skin around the building to keep the heat in during winter, and the heat out during summer. The energy savings on heating and AC bills vary from 10-50%, depending on the structure’s age and type, and what's being done to the home. With our proprietary water-based resin and natural hand-harvested cork from Portugal, we are proud to offer a 100% environmentally responsible and renewable product. We never cut down any Cork tree. We only shave the bark, meaning every 8-10 years, for up to 200 years, the same tree is ready for re-harvest. The harvesting of the bark causes the tree to absorb carbon dioxide at a faster rate as it replenishes its bark. This Cork is ground into granules, which when mixed with solvent-free resins, mineral fillers, and more, creates a natural insulating, fire, mould and damp-proof spray that can be applied to any surface. Some sources claim that the Cork Spray offsets 4kg of carbon for every square meter sprayed, with cork forests absorbing 20 million tonnes annually.

Mould, Damp & Condensation Solution
Vipeq Cork Spray's natural thermal properties help shift the dew point on walls, effectively preventing condensation buildup. The material is breathable, allowing vapor to pass through, as walls were traditionally designed to do, reducing surface moisture accumulation. Since Cork Spray is free from harmful chemicals, it is completely safe for indoor use, even while occupants are present in the house. Sound Absorption
Acoustic improvement, minimizes impact, external and air sounds. Sound absorption coefficient (of acoustical materials) according to NP EN ISO 354. Some sources say the Cork Spray can absorb up to 38db, reducing unwanted external noise coming into your home. Projected cork is an impact sound absorber, the problem is also known as ‘drum’ effect and it is caused by the rain. Its high waterproofing power offers also an extra advantage to face this circumstance.
Colour & Fade Resistance
Vipeq Cork Spray comes in 29 standard colours, but it can be mixed in any RAL colour. This may incur a small additional charge, as we don't stock colours outside of the 29 standard colours. The colour of the Cork Spray is extremely long lasting and durable. Rigorous testing has proven that the colour of Vipeq Cork Spray only fades 1% per year, whereas regular paint typically fades at about 7% per year, especially in Spain.
Guarantee
Vipeq Cork Spray comes with a full 10 year guarantee, and doesn't require any maintenance. The 10 year guarantee is a minimum. There are many buildings in Spain which have been sprayed 17 years ago, and are still in excellent condition.
Our Process
We begin by washing down the home to ensure it's clean before spraying. We will repair any minor damages to the walls and/or paintwork, before applying a primer if required to ensure a perfect finish that lasts. After that, we can begin spraying. The first coat is sprayed evenly across the surface and forms a base layer. A second coat is then applied to enhance the thermal and acoustic insulation of the property. We apply 2 coats which are usually a 3-4mm thickness in total, which doesn't seem like a lot, but because of corks natural insulating properties, is the ideal amount for all the benefits listed above.
